Attitude
If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think that you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but you think you can't, it's almost certain you won't
If you think you'll lose, you've lost,
For out in the world you'll find,
Success begins with a fellow's will;
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are.
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the strongest or the fastest,
But sooner or later the one who wins
Is the one who thinks he can!

Creative Thoughts
A good teacher is like a candle-it consumes itself to light the way for others.
The great teacher inspires.
We may forget what you said, but we will never forget how great you made us feel.
Happiness is a state of activity.
The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart.
The best things in life aren't things.

My Girls
An Open Letter
God has a plan for you; He knows what is best for you. Persecution comes in all sorts and forms. The devil is always ready to say, "Give up and quit." Oh! How many times the devil has tempted me to end my life as it is worthless. No one cares.
But God always reminds me of what Paul went through when he was spreading the gospel. Paul is my mentor. He was beaten 14 lashes, ship wrecked, stoned, homeless, no food or water, but he perservered in the strength of the Lord.
He could have easily said "I throw in the towel." Did he see immediate tangible results? No. That is exactly what you are facing now: I do all this work and I don't feel that it is impacting anyone.
Look at this way: God planted you there to be a witness for His kingdom. Yes, the Christian walk is very difficult if you try things on your own strength. Turn in the keys of your life to God, and surrender your life to Him, and say, "Lord take it all." I was a stubborn, obnoxious ox before I knew the Lord. I turned myself in and said Lord let thy will be done in my life. He has blessed me to be a blessing to you.
I can point out many ways that God is very keenly watching you and mindful of you. Whenever the devil tells you to throw in the towel and quit, keep praising and thanking God for what he has done in and through your life. Praise God that He has given you a friend who can help you and guide your in you walk with the Lord. I will never ever give up on you.
Mediate on this verse:
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom.
Quote:
The generous man is the mighty man of prayer. The stingy man is the powerless man of prayer.
I hope these words are comforting and encouraging.

Sailing home
Just keep walking on, alms are not needed. If life does not treat you well why do you need alms, why do you need a place to sleep, why, why, why?
Been here for forty years, seen a score of people say the same old words of discouragement, "everything will be alright one day." Maybe for you.
The sun rises for the good and bad, God is merciful to all, and pain is part of the package. Pain sticks to you when you step out to this world and never leaves you, but interestingly keeps on adding like a rolling mass. When is it going to stop?
"Everything will be alright one day."
"It will work itself out."
Temporary tranquilizers for a broken and shipped wrecked soul.
I'm sailing home.
Mother's worth
When I was a toddler I could sense the pain and the joy in your eyes. Oh! When is he going to learn?
When I was a teenager you shed tears. Why can't he learn from me?
It gives me such joy to walk with you in this misty morning, a garden filled with spring blossoms. I know you always have an ear to hear, a shoulder to hold my tears, a heart too large to store all my pain, troubles and struggles from birth to death.
Your arms are always open in spite of my being an erring child. You always have those arms open for me to come running. I call your arms and your bosom home. Your voice beckons me to come. Your voice is like the harbor horns that guide lost ships. Your tired eyes never shut till all your chicks are gathered under your wings.
Oh! I can't believe we have to turn around and walk back? Yes, my son, I knew from the bottom of my heart. I knew that you will never say no.
This is my world's best mom.

Mask
Life
Life is rich with opportunities. Whether you discover a new interest, a new goal to achieve, or a new way to cope with challenges, life is full of experiences that will help you grow.
Life brings moments of beauty. Whether your heart is touched by the kindness of a friend, or you discover a double rainbow after a storm, the world is full of beauty to delight the heart and the senses.
Life is meant to be loved. Whether love is expressed in romantic relationships, or with family and friends, or whether it takes the form of a deep and lasting friendship, life is a gift that is meant to be loved.
Life is an art of negotiating.
What is prayer?
II Chronicles 7:14: If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Entreat is one of the biblical words for prayer. It refers to earnestly beseeching God. In the Old Testament, spreading out one’s hands before the Lord was a common gesture associated with prayer.
Malachi 1:9: And now entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With such a gift from your hand, will he show favor to any of you? Says the Lord of hosts.
The magnificence of God is the source and the measure of prayer. Pascal asked the question "why has God established prayer?" It is to communicate with His children. How magnificent it is to able to talk the Author of Creation.
Prayer is the breath of the soul; the organ by which we receive Christ into our parched and withered hearts. Our prayers are always a result of Jesus knocking at our heart’s doors.
He who gave us the privilege of prayer knows us very well. He knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
To pray is to open the door to Jesus, and that requires no strength. It is only a question of our will. It is Jesus who moves us to pray. He knocks. Will we give Jesus access to our needs? That is the one great and fundamental question in connection with prayer.
No matter what distress we may experience, whether of body or of soul, we need but look unto Him who is always near with His healing power.
Prayer is simple. It is built deep into our nature, as we are the creatures of Almighty God that we are to lift our eyes, and look up, when we pray. Just as God commanded Moses to raise up the serpent in the desert so also the Son of Man was lifted up and we only had to raise our heads and look up to Him in need.
Romans 8:26: Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words.
To pray is nothing more involved than to lie in the sunshine of His grace. To be a man or woman of prayer is to take this sun-cure. To be a Christian is in truth to have gained a place in the sun.
Listen, my friends! Your helplessness is your best prayer. This is unquestionable; the first and surest indication of a praying heart. It calls from your heart to the heart of God with greater effect than all your uttered pleas. Come to the feet of Jesus in your need. He becomes actively engaged at once in hearing and answering the prayer of your helplessness. Be not anxious because of your helplessness. Helplessness is the real secret and impelling power of prayer.
John 15: 5: Without me ye can do nothing.
James 5:16: The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Prayer is definite attitude of our hearts towards God, an attitude which in heaven is immediately recognized as an appeal to His heart. Prayer is something deeper than words. It is a ladder to heaven.
You fight your battles on your knees you stand strongest and tallest on your knees. There are no particular hours or days to pray. You don’t have to make an appointment with God, He does not go on vacation. The heavens are open day and night. He will bow down to listen to your humble cries. Cry out in faith.
Psalm 62:8: Pour out your heart before Him.
Application: How often do you pray? Have you asked the question "Why pray when God knows my needs?" Have you asked God to come into your heart?

Desperate runner, run all you want but you can't hide!
Come on, just stand by my side and look, be quiet. Shhh...Do you see what I see? No! I don't get it, you're insane to just stand by the curb and stare. I see it all and I am sorry my friend that you don't, let's try this again. Now do you see it? YES!! YES!!
So what is it that makes you look sad my friend? It is people trying to run away from their pain and suffering and they can't. They are trapped and their eyes are like a dam ready to burst. That's what I'm talking about.
What can we do? Walk with me to that park and I'll tell you. I was the same; trapped in this body of pain and anguish. No one saw it, no one cared for me. I kept running and running and my body was crushed by thorns of despair with no help.
One day Jesus met me and said son I saw it all, I tried to tell you but you did not listen. I tried to show you but you refused to see. I did not give up on you because you are so dear to Me. I bought you. I knew one day you would come to your senses and I was waiting for that desperate cry. I am so glad you cried out.
My friend, why are you sobbing so hard? I...I.. see. I am trapped. Please...help...me...! HELP! My Father heard you and He is setting you free from those chains of slavery and bondage. I can't take it anymore, I see. He died for me. Just...for...me...Yes my friend, He did it just for you and I. I am praying for you.
So long my friend. Please tell those people who are running that Jesus loves them and cares for them, and to come to Jesus just as they are. I know you are tormented by your past. You are getting back into your cage. Get out! He set you free, He gave you a new life, a new door, new window, a new road. Use it all.
My friend, you are not able to use it because of your tears. Wipe them and let's help the dying, poor and starving world. They need Jesus.
